Take learning beyond the page and discover the people, places, and stories that shaped Colorado! Our interactive experiences invite learners to ask questions, make connections, and experience history where it happened. Field Trips rotate between the Molly Brown House Museum, the D&F Clock Tower, and historic Larimer Square.
Quick Details
Go behind the scenes at the Molly Brown House Museum and discover how museum professionals care for historic objects. In this hands-on Teen Curator Club program, teens ages 13–17 will learn safe artifact-handling techniques, explore the tools used in collections care, and help clean select historic objects and spaces. It’s a rare chance to get up close with museum work, ask questions, and see what it really takes to preserve the past.
-
Every January, the Molly Brown House Museum closes temporarily to deep clean the historic home, including every single artifact! This year, we’re inviting homeschool students between the ages of 13-17 to join us! Museum Deep Clean is a behind-the-scenes Teen Curator Club program where teens learn how museum professionals care for historic objects and spaces.

Deep Clean is designed for homeschool students ages 13–17. This program is a great fit for students interested in public history, museum work, preservation, or simply seeing what happens behind the scenes in a historic house museum.

Participants with significant dust allergies, asthma, respiratory sensitivities, or other concerns should consider whether the program is a good fit and contact museum staff before registering with any accessibility questions.
-
Some museum-approved cleaning materials may be used. Staff will demonstrate proper use and supervise all activities.
-
Teen Curator Club programs are designed as teen-only experiences. Parents and guardians should plan to drop off and pick up participants unless otherwise arranged with museum staff.
-
Check-in begins at 8:45 AM on the front porch. Training runs from 9:00–9:30 AM, followed by hands-on cleaning from 9:30 AM–12:00 PM.
