Create a Hat like Margaret’s!
Margaret Brown and her daughter, Helen would never leave the house without a hat. Now is your chance to make a hat of your own with feathers, flowers, ribbons and more!
Join us for a special Girl Scout Hat Workshop to try your hand at making a hat like Margaret’s!
All materials including 1 straw hat will be provided for all participants, including adults.

All ticketed Scouts will receive a special Molly Brown House Museum Hat patch. Adults and Siblings will not receive patches.

This program will include a self-guided tour of the house and all the materials for every participant (adults and scouts) to make one hat. Scouts will also receive an exclusive Molly Brown House Museum Hat Patch, only available to Hat Workshop participants!

Yes. Our capacity is severely limited due to the small spaces in the museum. This means that many of our programs fill up months in advance, so in order to reserve your space, advance registration and payment is required. This is true whether you are registering for a program in one month or or 3 months from now.

$25 per scout and $25 per adult. Siblings age 0-5 may attend for free, however, if they wish to make a hat, they need to be registered as a scout.
Space is limited. Advanced registration is required. If cost is an issue, please email us and we can discuss available options.

We typically do not offer refunds for program registrations. If your plans change and you can no longer make it, as long as you let us know two-weeks or more before the date of the program, we can generally transfer your registration to another program or event, provided there is space. You would still be responsible for any difference in cost, if one exists. If you let us know less than two weeks out, there are no refunds or transfers.

Siblings 0-5 may attend for free, however, if they wish to participate in the hat making portion, they will need to be registered as a Scout.

Yes, everyone should purchase tickets and we can ensure that you are seated with each other during the workshop. Our largest tables seat 8. If your group is larger than that, we will need to seat you at multiple tables.
