Molly
Brown House Museum 2008
Margaret
“Molly” Brown was a woman with many passions. She traveled,
dreamed of becoming an actress and committed herself to community.
Her political and philanthropic activities are often overshadowed
by her many adventures, but as Denver welcomes its second
national political convention 100 years after its first, we
want to explore the city of 1908, the sights, sounds and scandals
Margaret & J.J. witnessed.
“No
Pink Tea” Exhibition & Lecture Series
One
hundred years ago the city of Denver hosted its first ever
political convention. Who were the players on the scene, what
issues concerned Americans, was Molly Brown there? Come learn
the answers to these questions during 2008 summer exhibit,
opening May 20. We'll explore the politics of the era
and the role women played as they lobbied for the right to
vote. You may also want to join us for our 2008 Lecture
Series. All lectures are free and open to the public and will
take place on Wednesday August 13th, and Wednesday, October
8th . Call for more information.
