Museum
Guidelines: Please go over the following guidelines with your students before
your visit. 1. Touching is not allowed. Everything inside the museum is from
the period of 1910. That means the artifacts are nearly 100 years old! Since we
receive nearly 50,000 visitors per year, that's a lot of fingerprints! Fingerprints
deposit oils from your hands which help destroy the artifact. 2. Please do
not sit on any of the furniture. It is all old and very delicate. 3. Food,
drinks and gum are not allowed inside the museum. In addition to the obvious problems
of stains, these items attract bugs which then eat the artifacts. 4. We can
not allow people to take photographs inside the museum due to security guidelines
handed down from our insurance company. 5. Backpacks should remain on the
bus. If you choose to bring them with you, they will need to remain on the front
porch of the museum. The group will be inside many of the rooms and it is easy
to accidentally bump into artifacts with backpacks. Group
